Officer Dan Webster's Fund
Donation protected
On Wednesday, October 21, 2015 tragedy struck the Albuquerque Police Department. Officer Dan Webster was attempting to take into custody a violent felon named Davon Lymon. An altercation ensued as Lymon resisted arrest and he shot Officer Webster numerous times striking him in the neck, arm, and chest. He is currently in critical condition and his prognosis both short and long term is unknown.
Officer Webster has been a police officer with APD for 8 years. He is the type of officer every department strives to have. He always goes above and beyond in everything he does. Supervisors both past and present say he never gives less than 110% in any task at hand. He is dedicated to protecting the citizens of Albuquerque and is a great mentor to the new officers. Officer Webster also is constantly reaching out to the community. Many people know him by first name and he doesn't hesitate to stop and talk to them when he can.
Prior to being a police officer he served with the United States Army. He has been deployed to Iraq two times and served his country just like he serves the city of Albuquerque; with honor, dignity, and pride.
Since being shot, his wife has not left his side. She is a deputy with the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department and it is unknown when she will return to work.
Your donation is appreciated and will help with any unexpected costs that will be incurred due to this tragic incident. Officer Webster is a true hero in every sense of the word and our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family during this difficult time.
Thank you for your support.
