Help Okie get Stem Cell Therapy!

Jason "Okie" Okerstrom has been and still is undergoing treatment for Lyme Disease going on 3 years. Throughout this journey we have also found heavy metal poisoning contributed from all of his mercury fillings. He went under extensive dental work to remove all of his fillings and two severally infected root canals that penetrated his sinus system and ate away at his bone. Followed by medication to help remove it from the rest of his body.
He was affected and experienced a set back when we moved back to MN from CO and the rental house we moved into had severe mold. If that wasn't enough for him to treat for he was also diagnosed with some co-infections that are common with Lyme Disease such as Bartonella and Mycoplasma.
Throughout everything he continues to be the strong willed, quirky, amazing man we all love and determined to get better! We are working with an amazing Lyme Disease specialist out of Wisconsin that we travel to every other week. Okie is responding great but this is were we are in need of help. Throughout all of his medical treatment about 90% of it has been cash out of pocket as insurance won't cover it. We are in need of all of your help to continue his treatment and rehab to get him the rest of the way! The money would be used towards additional treatment, travel expenses, medical equipment and rehabilitation as he is working hard at walking again, using his arms and speech.
A treatment that a lot of Lyme Disease patients have had great success with and Okie would like the option to consider would be Stem Cell Therapy. This would not be covered by insurance at all so majority of the goal of this would go towards providing him that opportunity. It would cover the cost of the treatments that he would receive 5 to 6 days a week for one month, travel costs, lodging, food and help with me missing work to be there for him. This would help his body continue to heal, repair and help his Immune system so he can eventually get off of all of the medications and supplements.
Between the Lyme Disease, Co-infections, Mold and Metals it has effected his ability to care for himself. The rest of the funds will go towards our biweekly visits with his Lyme Disease specialist and rehabilitation. He is currently working on regaining strength, function and properly using his legs to walk, using of his arms and his speech. He is currently in a wheelchair until he regains the use of his arms, hands and legs.
In addition to everything I had symptoms start to show up and was diagnosed with both Lyme Disease and Babesia but responding great to the treatment because of our amazing doctor!
It doesn't seem like it has been since 2015 when he medically retired from the Stearns County Sheriffs Office after being Law Enforcement for 20 years.
Thank you to our amazing family and friends for your continued love, support, positive thoughts and prayers! We truly couldn't do this without you!
We still have a journey of healing ahead of us but we will get there! Again thank you all for your love, prayers and support it means the world to both of us!
