Olivia J: Doctors Without Borders
Tax deductible
My name is Olivia Jones. I am a high-school senior in a tiny school in Northern Vermont. Throughout our senior year, each senior has an intensive study called a "Senior Project:" A year-long assignment on a topic of our choice. My topic is "Medical Services Assisting Relief Work," especially focusing on Syrian Refugees.
The reason I have set up a GoFundMe account is because I thought that, not only is it a good way to connect this to my project, but I also wanted to contribute as much as I can to the brave, selfless people volunteering their time and efforts in order to help people in need.
All the money I receive I will be donating to Doctors Without Borders to go towards their relief and medical aid in developing countries and disaster areas. My fundraising will be going on from mid-March to mid-June (the end of the school year).
Volunteering and community efforts have been a big part of my life, living in a town of one thousand people. I aspire to volunteer on a larger scale when I'm older, after I graduate nursing school and I hope to be able to travel and help people through programs like Doctors Without Borders.
Not only would I be thankful for your generous donations, but every single person volunteering and benefiting from the care by Doctors Without Borders would be so grateful for your support. Thank you!
