Fund Brian Slater, stabbing Victim
Donation protected
On Wednesday, April 6th, 2016, my brother Brian Slater was the victim of a horrifying knife attack that could have easily taken his life. His girlfriend, who is also the mother of his 9 month old daughter, struggles with mental illness, was temporarily staying with Brian. During the altercation in Brian's home, Brian was stabbed in the right side of his neck by his girlfriend, with a 10" knife, resulting in a punctured lung and a jugular hematoma. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and subsequently air lifted to Harborview Medical Center where emergency surgery helped stop the bleeding. He spent 3 days in the ICU recovering.
Brian was released on April 9th to find a number of his personal belongings stolen from his home while it was unoccupied.
These items include, but are not limited to: his cell phone, laptop, 3 chainsaws, two18V cordless drills, and his rollaway toolbox filled with tools. Brian is a wood craftsman and his selling his handmade products is how he makes his living.
The funds collected from this effort will be used to replace the items stolen from Brian's home while he was in the hospital. Additional funds will also help provide essential items and care for both Brian and his baby girl, who is staying with close family friends, while he continues to recover.
Please help by donating to this worthy cause, even if it is only a small amount. Together we can help my brother get back on his feet again. Thank you!
