PA #NoDAPL Standing Rock Delegation

Donation protected

The cause:

On November 2nd, healthcare workers, native people, and water protectors are traveling from Pittsburgh to Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota to help prevent Dakota Access Construction from completing a pipeline that is quickly closing in on the Missouri River in North Dakota.

Folks in our coalition who have friends and family on the ground have told us that more than anything, protectors need as many people as possible to stand together with them to win this fight – and we need your help to make that possible.

We want to lend support to the tribes and protectors already there and to use our voices to keep attention on this issue. Having a clean environment is a necessary to have a healthy community; and as healthcare workers we already see the effects of pollution every day.

We’re ready to stand with Standing Rock, and bring the lessons we learn back home to our own challenges in Pennsylvania. We need your help to do it.

The cost:
Transportation for this trip, which is over 1,300 miles each way, is costly – and we need to raise additional funds for tents and sleeping bags that are winter ready to house our delegation (all supplies will remain at the camp as donations). In total, we are looking to raise $5,000 to make this trip happen.

No amount is too small – every contribution is welcomed and deeply appreciated.
