Cameron's PANDAS Fund for families
Donation protected
Following on from the journey we have been on for the last 3 years with our beloved son Cameron, we are setting up the first official uk PANDAS charity. (for full info on our journey see our website www.thecameronlindsayappeal.weenbly.com)
Cameron has been left with a brain injury that has descimated the part of his brain he uses for school and other higher functioning skills. In order to manage daily life and have a chance at attending school he needs rehabilitation and specialist support.
To provide/facilitate this support for PANDAS children will be one of the many aims our new charity 'The PANDAS Foundation'.
We HAVE to change things for future PANDAS families. Our children deserve to be treated for this condition. This treatment IS already available in the U.K. but there are no effective guidelines or protocols in place to make it available to those who need it. And the only way to do that is to first raise awareness, and second, lobby politicians. The PANDAS Roadshows will launch us on the first step, hopefully early 2017 and my visit to Stormont next year to present to the Health Committee will hopefully launch us on the second, we need to lobby government to really get things changed.
The legacy of what Cameron & others have been through has to be positive, the horror, pain & suffering can't all have been for nothing, and I will dedicate myself to making sure it isn't.
Thank you in advance
Natasha xx
