Parkland Middle TSA Nationals

Hello.  My name is Raquel Kuker and I am a middle school STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) teacher at Parkland Middle School in El Paso, TX. We recently had the honor of competing at the state level in a competition called TSA (Technology Student Association) and we earned the most 1st place wins, therefore, earning the title of TSA State Champions.
     This is an honor for several reasons. First, this is only our 2nd year competing so we are still rookies. Second, the majority of the schools who compete are private or charter schools and we don't have the resources they have, yet we were able to easily beat them to win State Champs. Third, we are the only middle school representing El Paso. Fourth, most of our students have never been out of El Paso so this is a HUGE opportunity for them.
     Since 18 of our students placed at the national level last week, we now have the opportunity to compete in June in Orlando, FL. We are currently in need of travel funds to get there and we would appreciate any help you can provide us. Our AWESOME YISD district has covered most of the expenses and we have raised $4,300, however, we need $625 more to be able to compete at nationals. This will go to pay for 2 students who need to complete their fundraisers.  The students have been selling popcorn to cover their food money as well as uniform expenses.  If it is possible to help us out in any way at all our community would GREATLY appreciate it.
