Parvo Treatment for Bohdi

My dream came true when we found Bohdi, a 13 week male Maltese, but within a couple hours that dream became a nightmare. Little Bohdi got very sick very fast. We rushed him to 1st Pet Veterinary Center here in Chandler, AZ. They had saved our 10 week old Maltese, Bella, 10 years earlier from Parvo. We were heartbroken and devastated when the diagosis for Bohdi was Parvo too. Knowing the cost of care could be in the thousands with no guarantee, we were totatly unprepared to go down that road. Not wanting to just give up on him, we were looking at all the options we had with the staff. Standing next to us, another client overheard our story. What transpired next was unbelievable. She offered to pay for all the medical expenses to save Bohdi. We were floored and in tears with her compassion and extreme kindness to us and Bohdi. We were strangers, but that didn't matter, she loves animals and Bohdi drew her in.

There is genuine kindness and truly caring people in this world and Bohdi's Angel is one.
With this season's strain of Parvo being extremely intense, the cost to care for him has been in excess of $1400 a day. After 4 days of hospitalization, Bohdi is not out of the woods. He will improve slightly one day and the next he plummets. After 4 days of hospitalization, he was finally able to drink water from a bowl but is still being fed watered down dog food with a syringe. On multiple IVs of medication and nutrition, he is a fighter and we do not intend to give up on him if there is any hope he is on the road to recovery but the expenses mount.
