Help Pastor Marco Fight Cancer!

Pastor Marco David, is a loving husband and father with a servant heart.  He served as a police officer with the city of Chicago for over 20 years, retired in order to serve Midwest Bible Church as its senior Pastor.

Pastor Marco has a genuine love for his city, for his church and for Christ.  His love for God extends his own physical boundaries. In the summer of 2015, Pastor Marco received the news that no one wants to hear-- cancer had made its uninvited entrance into his body. During this initial cancer diagnosis, he continued to serve his church as lead pastor, preparing sermons and preaching on Sundays.  He is a man of incredible humility who teaches us by example how to live a life that truly depends and surrenders to God and to rejoice in suffering.

After a long and aggressive battle against colon cancer that included chemo therapy and other treatments, it was believed that this battle was behind him. Here we are in the summer of 2018, and again our dear Pastor has heard news that cancer had made its uninvited entrance into his body. He has been diagnosed with colon cancer, stage 4 and will have to undergo indefinite chemotherapy. This is not fully covered by his existing medical sharing program, which requires full payments be paid upfront and those upfront cost then later reimbursed (can take up to 120 days).  The funds raised will be used towards covering the following medical upfront costs:

·         Medical visits

·         C.T. Scans and other test

·         Chemotherapy treatment approximately $4,000* per visit (*discounted rate, normally 16k/visit)

·         Recent hospitalization for “TIA”(transient ischemic attack sometimes known as mini stroke)

·         Possible future Hospitalizations

·         Prescriptions

To know Pastor Marco is a blessing, to be loved by him is a gift, to serve alongside him is an honor.  Which is why we want to honor our Pastor by raising funds to offset the mounting medical costs associated with his cancer treatment cost. Pastor Marco and his family continue to believe the Lord for healing and will seek out medical treatment because there is so much to fight for.  Join us as we prayerfully seek God’s provision for his health, for his finances, and for his family.
