Patricia Williams Burial Fund-
Donation protected
Greetings friends, family and community. I am Waheedah Shabazz-El, from Philadelphia PA.
I am the Regional Organizing Director for Positive Women's Network-USA, {PWN-USA}. pwn-usa.org
I am also the Goodwill Ambassador for Philadelphia FIGHT Community Health Centers fight.org and most importantly right now, I am a dear friend of our recently deceased community member, Patricia Williams aka Pattie Cake.
Patricia Williams has led the PWN-USA-Philly chapter with consistency and integrity since 2014, to be one of the most successful regional chapters of the Positive Women’s Network Organization. https://www.facebook.com/groups/PWN.Philly.Style/
Patricia is a graduate of several of Philadelphia FIGHT’S Project Teach Programs; also a graduate of women’s trauma support group called “Still Rising". Patricia’s hard work as a Peer Educator for Philadelphia FIGHT has benifitted many as she was commited to educating communities living with and vulnerable to contracting HIV.
Friday Nov 4, 2016 our dear Patricia Williams passed away suddenly; leaving to mourn her loss is her devoted mother, whom she is named after, 3 brothers, 1 sister, several aunts, uncles, neices, nephews, cousins, friends and community members.
I am requesting that our community pull together and support the family as they make final arrangement s for Patricia. They are genuinely in need our support quickly, and I could think of no more efficient way than helping them to set up this page as a way of collecting your kind words of support and donations.
I ask that you please donate generously and what you are able to by Friday Nov 11, 2016. All donations are set to go directly to Patricia's family.
This is extremely important to me because Patricia lived her life giving to the community, training and advocating for a better world - free from stigma and discrimination. I helped mentor and train her myself and I can attest that she was eager to learn and eager to apply all she learned toward helping to shape a better world for all marginalized people.
On behalf of Patricia's family, PWN-USA Philly and myself, I wish to thank you in advance for your kindness.
I a world of challenges and uncertainty, Patricia lived in the face of it and dared to love in spite of it.
Rest in Power Pattie.
