Patricia's Rally Against Cancer

Donation protected
Patricia Dobbs is currently battling stage 2 grade 3 inflammatory breast cancer. She is the mother of  two daughters, two stepdaughters, and grandmother of 10. The diagnosis came in November 2014, and in December 2014 she underwent surgery to remove the mass and many lymph nodes.

This has been a frightening and stressful time for Patricia and her husband Ed. The last few months have been a rollar-coaster of emotions. There have been many difficult decisions to make in regards to healthcare. Ed and Patricia are rich in Gods love, grace, and mercy. However, they are not rich financially. There has been much prayer for several weeks about launching a 'go fund me' account. Through this cancer, she is learning humility and setting pride aside. This has been a difficult decision for the Dobbs family.

Patricia chose to look at alternatives to the standards of care medical treatments. The majority of this treatment is NOT covered by health insurance. The choice to raise money is necessary to fund the treatment.

Traditional chemotherapy would take approximately five months followed by six weeks of radiation. The immune system would be completely compromised. This is a huge issue being that Patricia has owned and operated an in-home childcare business for the last 10 years. Traditional treatment would result in the business closure for the duration of treatment as well as mounting debt.

The local doctor recommended a specialist in Reno Nevada, who has been curing many cancers in stage four patients for the last 40 years. Patricia is passionate about seeking alternative treatment. Not just for herself, but for others who have cancer and feel trapped in a system that doesn't offer many treatment options.

The chosen treatment starts with DNA mapping that provides a blueprint of the patients DNA. Then a chemosensitivity test is run to see what chemotherapy drugs the cancer will respond to. It further tells what vitamins, minerals and hormones are needed to build the immune system for healing. Small amounts of chemo are laced with a sugar substance that delivers the chemo directly to the cancer cells. It also involves counseling and nutrition education. The treatment has very little to no side effects and will take as little as three weeks. This care is currently allowing the best available prognosis.

Patricia wants to be around for her family and friends for many years to come. She wants to continue being around the beautiful little people that God has placed in her life. This treatment plan is a safer alternative to invasive chemo and radiation. She passionately wants to become an advocate for others to pursue holistic methods of treatment.

Patricia is a very selfless and caring woman with an unbelievably positive demeanor. She has a huge heart and spends much of her time caring for others. This is our opportunity as her family and friends, to be able to care for and support Patricia in her time of need.

Thank you for taking the time to read and to consider making a donation. Every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated. God bless.
