Patrick Bergman Memorial Fund

The loss of a teenager is a life event that no parent wishes to go through in their lifetime. That loss, as well as shock, grief, and coming to grips with an endless horizon of hopes and dreams unrealized going up in a horrifying puff of smoke has a huge impact on both family and friends alike.
Today we, family and friends of Patrick Bergman, are coming to grips with that sort of untimely loss. Patrick Bergman was born in 2003 in Landstuhl, Germany. He was loved by his parents, Joe and Melissa and older brother Brandon Bergman, his dog Duke and so many friends. As you can tell by the photo, Patrick and his dog Duke were inseparable. There are so many other wonderful things that we can say about Patrick. He was a lover of basketball, Legos, sports cars, especially his favorite, the Corvette. Some of his favorite movies were The Fast and Furious, and he loved Disney World and Lego Land, and was looking forward to a trip to DC over Spring Break.
He was only 14 years old, an avid lover of animals and a wonderful volunteer for the Animal Refuge Center in Vine Grove, Kentucky. Patrick’s mom, Melissa, has been an employee at the Animal Refuge Center for five years, and it deeply moves us here at the Animal Refuge Center to do something to help this family, who cannot meet the funeral expenses for the unexpected and devastating loss of their youngest son.

Our goal is $6,500 to help Joe and Melissa Bergman bury their son Patrick. Can you find it in your generosity to help a grieving family in need?
