Pat's Medical Fund

 Recently, Pat W. Stone, a 27 year old native of Byron Georgia and a current resident of Atlanta Georgia was diagnosed with Stage IV  Hodgkin's Lymphoma Cancer.  While the disease is curable, his  prognosis for a successful outcome is 50%.
 
Pat always loved music and he taught himself to play guitar, bass, piano and numerous other musical instruments.

Many of you may remember Pat (P. J.) from his school years in Peach County;  Central Ga. Technical College; Georgia Perimeter College- DunWoody, Ga.; The Guitar Center; Ken Stanton Music;  Atlanta Backline Co.,  and his association with the rock band “The Dirty Magazines” as lead vocalist and lead guitar player, in addition to his many tours with other rock bands.

Pat lost his medical insurance when he was laid off his regular job two months ago. The transitional insurance that he obtained does not cover catastrophic illnesses.  He has since started a new job but now must leave it because his doctors advised him that he is unable to work while undergoing chemotherapy.  These treatments could last a year or longer.   Bottom line, he has no medical insurance and no means of earning enough funds to sustain him during this period.

He is now faced with heavy medical expenses as well as day to day living expenses. His Chemotherapy began Monday, June 27.   During the treatment process, he must remain in Atlanta near his doctors and the hospital where he will be receiving the treatments.  Through all of this, he maintains a positive attitude.
