Pay It Forward to young collector Ryan K.

Donation protected
9-year old Ryan K. loves sports and normally spends his allowance on collectibles or on baseballs to get signed in-person at Giants games.

Ryan's father recently passed away from ALS, so doing acts of kindness been a form of grieving for him

After hearing that fellow 3rd-graders at his school often have to go into debt to pay for school lunch, he decided that he could do something about it, using his collectibles allowance.

As reported by ABC 7 News, Bay Area, Ryan had his mother reach out to the school and find out how much the debt was for kids in his class, and then gave the entire amount ($74.50) anonymously to help his classmates end the year out of debt.

Collectors, who wants to join me and Pay It Forward to Ryan and help grow his collection because of his selfless act towards others?

You can help support in two ways:

1) contact me (Ivan Lovegren, @watchthebreaks in most hobby circles) directly about where to send items you want included in the "Random Act of Kindness" (RAK) box we will be sending to Ryan

2) you can simply give a dollar amount here and whatever we raise over the next two weeks (thru Wednesday, June 26th) will be used to buy Ryan team & player-specific items from his favorite teams!

We of course reached out to Ryan's mother first and received her approval to use this platform and this method to establish a Collector pool for Ryan's RAK.

Ryan loves:

San Francisco Giants
Dak Prescott
Patrick Mahomes
Roman Reigns
Draymond Green

Notes:

Who am I?  - My name is Ivan and I am a collector & host of a weekly web show about collecting from GTS Sports & Entertainment Trading Cards Distribution.

Where am I from?  - Well, I'm from Omaha Nebraska originally, but I live in Los Angeles, CA (Beverly Hills) now.

What is my relationship to Ryan? - none, other than that we both collect.  However, before starting this effort I connected with his mother Kylie (mentioned in the article and video) and ran all of this by her, as a way for us collectors to give a little something back to Ryan.  She fully approved and endorsed us doing this on behalf of her son.

How will these funds be used? - at the end of the specified period (two weeks) we will shut off the campaign from any new funds and use the funds to buy Ryan "PC" (Personal Collection) items from the teams he collects - the San Francisco Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Golden State Warriors, and Wrestler Roman Reigns.  These will be added to a large collector group package of other donations people are sending to my office.  Our goal is to have all the items to Ryan by the 4th of July.

To accomplish this, we will have to withdraw the money and use it ourselves.  I plan to keep a Google Doc spreadsheet showing everything and as mentioned previously I will be doing the shipping and handling out of my own pocket and all of this on my own time.  Aside from GoFundMe fees 100% of the donated money will go towards buying Ryan's items, and if there are a few dollars left over I will round up out of pocket to get a $10 eBay Gift Card for him to finish off the collector care package.

GoFundMe does take a 2.9% transaction fee + $.30 and that will be taken out before making our item purchases.

Aside from my time, I will also go out of pocket on all shipping so that 100% of collected dollars go straight to Ryan's items.

Any final dollar amount left over will be rolled up to a $10 eBay gift card for Ryan to be included with the RAK.

Let me know if there is anything else I should add to this or amend!
