Peace of mind for Amy

Alyssa's mom Amy is a Brooklyn native and is critically ill with stage four colon cancer that has traveled to both of her lungs and her lymph nodes. While her prognosis has always been grim and her cancer was deemed incurable, she fought with very aggressive treatments in the hope of a miracle. The treatments included chemotherapy, surgical procedures, multiple scans and all came with drastic side effects that have undermined Amy’s functioning abilities even further.  

 Unfortunately the doctors have just informed Amy that she isn’t responding to treatment and may not have much time left. Amy is currently receiving hospice care at home and through pain and medications but her only thought is Alyssa.

A mother’s love is the strongest bond that no one can break and Amy's only wish is that her beloved daughter Alyssa is taken care of once she is gone. The family does not have much and has counted on the help of so many during the past year.  The outpouring of love has been really overwhelming, it has come in so many different ways from so many different people.

Let’s help Amy get some peace knowing her daughter will not only receive the love and support to help her grow and flourish but with the financial help of everyone we can fund Alyssa’s needs with school and life in general.
