Penny & Calypso's Surgery
On January 29th, my mother in law was watching my son for the evening, as I was on the late shift at work. When she decided to go into the garage and ask my son how to close the garage, my son accidently hit the button to open the garage and my two dogs were in there and ran out, my older dog would not normally do that, but I have a new puppy only 5 months old who hasn't learned yet, and bolted and I think my older one was going after her, of course at the sametime a truck is passing through and struck both of them. It was a completely freak accident.
Their names are Penny & Calypso. Penny is a medium build pitbull mix, she is only 3 years old, she was a stray when I brought her into my life, just a little puppy wandering the street, she has been the best dog! Well she got the worst of the impact and now has a broken pelvis that is going to require some surgery, so she won't be in pain the rest of her life, there was actually 2 breaks in her pelvis that will need pins. :(
Calypso is our new puppy she is only 5 months old, she is a german shepard we've only had her about 3 months , but she is a goofy, sweet little talker, who gets super excited when it's time to eat hehe.. she'll dance in circles til I put the bowl down then she'll flip the bowl and eat it all her dinner off the floor. She was the one that had the whole vehicle roll over her, but came out with just 2 broken toes and a degloved paw, both her front paws we're missing skin. :(
As you can imagine this type of thing is not cheap. And if you know me at all as a person, I do not ever ask for money, I am finicially responsible and handle my business. But my family was already going through an issue that was taking up our emergency fund, so much so that I have no funds available to help my fur babies. So I really hate doing something like this, but I need help! Anything helps, to get my older dog Penny her surgery, and help cover this major expense. I would be extremely grateful for any help. And in my mind I'll be in debt to you all. Thank you so much!
Typical baby, needs snuggles when not feeling well.
