Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

My name is Stephon Font-Toomer and I am reaching out to you to help kickstart my business, Perspective Films.



After graduating from Wagner College, I spent time acting in New York City as well as Alaska and experienced many facets of the industry - acting, directing, producing, wardrobe, and music. Check out some of the work I did here 





I’ve been blessed to learn the important role that community plays in personal success. It truly takes a village to push a person forward, allowing someone to develop and grow in their career and personal interests. I’ve been part of many communities that have pushed me forward and now I’m looking to give this kind of opportunity to others. 



SO, I’ve decided to start a business, Perspective Films, for two main reasons



To provide opportunities for BOLD people to tell their STORIES, giving a VOICE to those who may not be able to speak for themselves.



To create opportunities for creative people to find consistent work and collaborators. Perspective Films hopes to connect with others to work on projects to fuel creativity and help others grow in their specialties as well as push them to try new things.
 


Perspective Film’s mission is to provide audiences with true and relatable films that show a completely different "perspective" in the way films are created.

 

What kind of films have we been working on?

This past year, I started shooting a series of short films called “Journals.” Each episode follows a day in the life of a specific character. There is no script or set, just an actor and a camera interacting with strangers in real life. What started as an experiment to start to build an acting reel, pushing myself to see how far I could go, turned into a short film featuring others telling real stories. 

 

Over the course of the year, I will be continuing my work on this series. I am interested in exploring the rawness and truth that comes out when we open ourselves up to new experiences and conversations. I am looking to test new characters, to push the genre of filmmaking, and ourselves as creative people. 





Some of you know I’ll be headed to Germany this spring to play Mike Linebacker for the Dusseldorf Panthers.

I am looking forward continuing to make films abroad, I am even considering building a character that is a stranger in a strange land, finding his way through a new country.

 

Perspective Films is different because of its quest to find truth in creativity, telling stories through bold, raw, cinematic footage. No alterations, no fabrications, only RAW true ideas.

Right now, I’m using borrowed equipment to create my films. I don’t own a laptop or camera; everything I am shooting with belongs to someone else. These tools will allow me to shoot at a higher quality, work through post-production more efficiently, and transport everything more portably as I intend to take this to Germany with me to allow me to continue making films abroad.
