Petro Shostak was born in Ukraine in 1971 and lived in Asheville, NC since 2002. God gave Petro and Valentina five beautifull daughters, Alina 23 (married), Inna 19 (married), Nelya 16, Nadya 12 and Ilonna 7.
Petro worked as mechanic in local trucking company, he enjoyed photography and was member of Christian Church of Hope.
On July 29, 2016 Petro woke up and got ready to go to work. Suddenly, he fell down and lost contiousness. (Most likely it is heart related issue). Petro was rushed to the hospital and fight for his life began. It has been more than a week now and Petro is still in Intensive Care Unit in St. Joseph hospital room 6 Asheville NC. Doctors are predicting that Petro will recover and will be able to take care of his family, but it might take 3 to 6 months. Currently Petro does not have life, health or disability insurances, however mortgage, utility and credit cards bills are regularely delivered to his mail box. Currently only Nelya is employed part time as a waitress at a local restaurant.
