Bring Pieces Season 2 to Life!

Donation protected
Hello GoFundMe!

Our names are Sophie and Hayley Kokott and we are the co-founders of Floor Thirteen Films, a Saskatchewan based collaborative script writing and movie production company. This past summer we took our first big project, a web series, from pre-production, production and post-production phases.

For as long as we can remember, making films and writing scripts was a big part of our lives. From making plays with our friends and family in the basement, to discovering how to use a video camera and creating hundreds of 'funny' blooper reels, we have always managed to develop productions.

Pieces: Party was created and written in the summer of 2016. The story followed nine different characters and their perspectives of an end of summer party. Each episode follows a new character and helps the viewer to understand what really happened throughout the night. It was the summer of 2017 that we finally put it together, with the help of some really amazing friends and less than $600.00 (if we were able to create a 10 episode web series with no budget, just imagine what we could do with your generous donations?!). This first season is set to be released February 9, 2018. The best part? It will be free to watch on YouTube!

Below are some behind the scenes pictures from filming this past August, (borrowing any equipment we can, relying on actors and crew members to volunteer A LOT of their free time over 8 days, filming in apparently only the most cramped spaces) with your donation we will be able to turn this movie set into a professional one!

Finally, the small but mighty cast and crew of Pieces: Party on our final day of shooting:

We are here today to ask for donations for the creation of our second season of Pieces. Just like the first season, this second season will follow various characters and their unique perspectives of one night, except this season will be a new story with new characters, new stories, and new drama!

Just like the first season, this one has a little something for everyone. It is comedic, romantic, dramatic, and for season 2, even a little bit scary!

This past October, our creative team, applied (with a whopping 67-page application) and were awarded a grant from Creative Saskatchewan to create the second season of this web series (mind you, we still have to finish some paperwork). This grant covers half of our proposed budget. Now we are asking for your help to come up with the second half of the budget in order to make this dream a reality. We believe backing and funding from both Creative Sask and YOU will allow us to make the best web series for viewers!

Donations will go directly to our proposed budget. Specifically towards location (our parents will be happy we aren't taking over their house again) and equipment rentals in order to increase the production value and make our web series more attractive and professional. Other aspects of our budget include costumes, props, and being able to pay members of our cast and crew (finally).

We are planning to shoot this season in the early summer of 2018. We would like to meet our goal as soon as possible, but for sure before April of 2018.

We are so grateful for your support financially in allowing us to create a web series and help us go after our dreams. We believe that Saskatchewan has many talented filmmakers and we cannot wait to show you this.

Whether it is $5 or $500 we appreciate your help! Every dollar counts and every dollar helps us get that much closer to our goal.

Incentives:
-Any donation: We're pretty good at high-fives!
-Any donation of over $150 will get a shout-out in the credits of the first episode of season 2!
-Any donation of over $250 will get a shout-out in the first and last episodes of season 2!
-Any donation of over $500 will have an honorary producer credit for the whole season!

Let us know who you are when donating and you can be sure we will message you with a thank you!
