Saving our Fouke Puppy
Donation protected
On May 21st in Fouke, AR, witnesses watched a man slam a puppy on his front porch, then hit the dog with a balled fist. The puppy's leg was allegedly injured and not adequately cared for. The puppy was tied to a cinder block in the middle of the owners' yard every day, where temperatures reached over 90 degrees, with no shade, food or water (multiple videos shot by neighbors corroborate). Miller County Sheriffs Officers were called to the property multiple times for the puppy's welfare; officers ordered the puppy moved from the yard, but after they left, the cinder block went back into the middle of the yard. The man was arrested Saturday evening on misdemeanor animal cruelty charges, but was released the same day. The puppy has since been surrendered and has been placed into foster care pending court. We ask for donations to help with any vet bills to help puppy get back to health, and any costs associated with fostering and care. Any money not spent on the puppy's vet bills or care will be donated to the local animal shelter. Thank you to everyone who advocated on this puppy's behalf!
