Pittsburgh Chevrah Kadisha Fund
Tax deductible
To assist local Pittsburgh Chevrah Kadisha groups (Jewish burial societies) in dealing with aftermath of the mass killings at Tree of Life Synagogue on October 27, 2018.
Funds raised from this campaign have been and will be used to cover the cost of out-of-town Chevrah experts who assisted Taharah and Shmirah teams process their unique experience of performing these Mitzvot. Longer term counselling and support services may also be required in the future for those performing such work. Other needs may emerge through additional, on the ground consultation, as we provide assistance and guidance to their people.
All of the monies raised through this campaign will go directly to assist the local burial society and their members as required, and as their needs emerge. Our organization's executive and Board have personal relationships with those who perform this holy work in Pittsburgh and we are no stranger to their community.
