Pittsburgh Cello Fest 2018
Donation protected
Pittsburgh Cello Fest is a day-long community event for cellists, cello enthusiasts, and music lovers of all ages. Now in its 2nd year, activities include masterclasses presented by members of the Pittsburgh Symphony, workshops on classical and alternative styles, featured cello ensemble and chamber music performances, and concludes with a large cello ensemble performance. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Music. May 12th is the date on which we hope to reach our financial goal.
Last year, there were over 200 people in attendance; 45 young cellists performed together in a youth ensemble; 30 professional and advanced students joined in a Cello Choir; and 7 members of the Pittsburgh Symphony cello section were involved in teaching and performing!
The Pittsburgh Cello Fest is currently looking for donations to help defray the costs of the Fest. Your donations will go directly to provide honorariums for the performers and masterclass clinicians, as well as music composition for the cello ensemble (which includes the world premiere of a cello choir piece by Pittsburgh composer Nancy Galbraith!) General donations of any size are welcome, and additionally we are introducing 4 higher levels of sponsorship. If you donate a minimum of one these amounts, you will be featured on the website, social media sites, and printed material including posters, signs, tee shirts, and programs, unless you wish to remain anonymous.
Sponsorship Levels:
Bronze $100
Silver $250
Gold $500
Diamond $1,000
Thank you for your consideration!
Sincerely,
Nicole Myers
