Pivot Youth Work Fundraiser

Keeping it simple! I am raising money by doing the Pivot 24/12 Mountain Bike event solo. My goal is to ride for the full 24 hours, no sleep, as far as I can. Here's why and what I am raising money for......
This is the event. http://www.twentyfour12.com/
I will use this money to provide 6*2 hour introductory mountain bike sessions for young people who would not normally get the opportunity to get out in the woods and have a blast.
Why this, and why I think it's important:
Living a good life is all about having opportunities, some people are born into circumstances that afford them less opportunities than others. Mountain biking is an opportunity I had as a young person that has given me great pleasure, helped me to keep (relatively) physically healthy and also been something that I have turned to when life has been tricky, stressful or just in need of a mood boost. Getting on a mountain bike won't suddenly change someones life, but having the opportunity to enjoy it may be part a bigger picture that helps them to move forward in new, exciting and postive ways.
Being out in the woods on a mountain bike gives young people a chance to get some fresh air, physical activity and a sense of freedom, it gives them the opportunity to take calculated risk, push their limits in a safe environment and work on team building, relationships and problem solving skills. It takes them outside their usual day to day life to experience something different that may help them think outside the box and feel great! As you can imagine the impact on physical health and emotional well being is significant, we want to see more people benefit from this.
There are LOADS of kids in Bristol, some of whom live a stones throw from Ashton Court who have never been here, let alone got the chance to ride around the trails. As a company we want to create more opportunities for more people from more diverse backgrounds to get out on the trails and reap the rewards and that's what this is about.
It is also really important that we secure the future of the facility at Ashton Court. Over the last 5 years it has seen hundreds of thousands of riders pass over the trails. Ashton Court is a very unique facility in that it is super easy to access for us city dwellers whilst having great quality trails and making us feel like we are in the countryside. We want to better the facility and leave a legacy so people can continue to enjoy it for years to come. The council can no longer afford to maintain Ashton Court, this is now being done through volunteers and fundraising.

Why am I using Go fund me, why can't I/we just do this for free?
Pedal Progression is in the process of converting to C.I.C. However we are currently still trading as a private L.T.D company. For the purposes of transparency this seemed like the best way to raise money! In the past we have (and continue to ) discount sessions for charities, youth groups and schools. However it is not sustainable for us to provide free sessions on a long term basis. We need to cover our costs which is what this money will do. With cuts in the public sector and charities under pressure it is often these kind of peripheral life enriching activities that get cut first...for understandable reasons. But we want to do what we can to keep putting them out there where we can in ways that are sustainable for us and the organisations we work with.
How will it be used?
The sessions will be provided by Pedal Progression at a not for profit rate, and run by ME. I will not take my usual fee to run these sessions, i.e..I will be donating my time. No employee or director of Pedal Progression will profit from these sessions.
Session Cost: £96
Breakdown: 8*2 hour bike hire at cost price £56. Investing in trail repairs and maintenance, this will keep the trail open and free to use for future riders £40.
