Earthquake relief fund

On Friday November 30, 2018, Alaska was hit with a 7.0 earthquake.  I own a small used bookstore (The Book Shelf) in Eagle River, not far from the epicenter.   Our store has been open for over 20 years and is the only used bookstore for roughly 20 miles in any direction.  About 90% of all of the books on my shelves came off the shelves and were about a foot and a half deep throughout the store. It took us days working full-time just to get the books back on the shelves, and that was not even alphabetized or organized--just physically picking them off the floor and putting them back on the shelves.  They still are not all done and I will be re-alphabetizing until the end of days.

The day the earthquake hit and the following days were supposed to be some of the busiest shopping days of the season.  Now I am struggling to make ends meet due to very poor sales and having to be closed during a peak sales period.  Sales in the month of December usually help carry me over until sales pick up again in the spring.

I am struggling with the fact that I am having to ask for help, but I don't know how else I can make ends meet.
