VFW Post 3081
Donation protected
The Taylor Honor Guard conducts final military rights for departed military comrades. The Honor Guard travels throughout northern West Virginia to conduct final salute to comrades. The Honor Guard conducts 130 to 150 services a year with a total of over 3,500 services since the Honor Guard was formed. The majority of our funerals are conducted at the National Cemetery located in nearby Pruntytown, West Virginia.
A new van is desperately needed to transport 11 Honor Guard members, ten M-1 rifles, blank ammunition, bugle, AED, bayonet, combat boots, helmet, a US Flag, a Flag for each branch of service, POW/MIA Flag, West Virginia State Flag, and the VFW Flag.
Our van is in dire condition. We have managed to maintain minimum up-keep with donations but continue to struggle with the overall maintance of the van. We are seeking your generosity to purchase a new van. This van would insure the continuation of our severvices to our departed comrades. We are truely thankful to all that donate to our cause.
The Taylor County Honor Guard operates under the auspice of VFW Memorial City Post 3081 which is a 501 tax exempt organization.
