PARKINSON'S & ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE
ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE CAN IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH PARKINSON'S
In one month I will be going to the 4TH WORLD PARKINSON CONGRESS in Portland Oregon to advocate for Alexander technique as an important part of interdisciplinary care to help manage symptoms of Parkinson's.
I will be bringing a Team made up of over a dozen Alexander technique professionals with expertise in working with People Living with Parkinson's, a group of Alexander students with Parkinson's, their spouses and partners, and a number of health professionals. Everyone believes passionately in the value of Alexander for managing symptoms of Parkinson's.
And we have research to support it!
Team Member Robert Davis is passionate about Alexander technique. He made a video with his teacher Caprice Boisvert to communicate to physicians how much Alexander has meant to him in helping him manage his symptoms. I think you will agree he and other Alexander students with Parkinson's are our best advocates.
