Possible Eviction and Medical Bills

Donation protected
Things have been kinda rough around the home for awhile now. My mom is elderly, disabled, and has recently spent a few weeks very sick and unable to do much lately. I've been having health issues myself, with two blackouts in April, a dizzy spell that ended in another fall in May, a fall just last yesterday, and numerous other health problems, making it hard to do as much to help around the house as I wish I could. With the loss of two roommates and our dog getting sick and numerous other instances of bad luck, we've fallen behind on bills like car payments, internet (the only phone my mom currently has when me & my sister are gone), etc., and having a much harder time affording rent here. Even before the loss of the two roommates' shares, we've been looking for a more affordable place for months and months with no luck. I have, however, been super lucky and had friends who have helped me out from time to time lately or we'd have already been in a worse situation than we are now.

But now, we've recently received a notice of illegal occupancy recently because our landlord's an awful slumlord and hasn't gotten the inspection needed for the certificate of occupancy or fixed things like a broken stair, backed up laundry sink, and numerous other issues. To add to that, our latest hit of misfortune ended with my sister having most of the month's rent money stolen from her the day it was due. Because we're now late since we don't have the money, the landlord showed up this morning telling us we have to be out in 3 days (I honestly don't know if it's him telling us to get out by then or he's going to start the process of evicting us, or due to complicated legal issues, that's the day he'd be evicting us).

Like I said, I've gotten lucky and had friends help a lot lately, so I don't know how well this will do as I don't know if those that've been extremely generous so far can afford to keep helping. So anyone reading this, if you can help at all, anything would be appreciated. If nothing else, I'm hoping maybe we'll be able to get enough to pay the rent and avoid being kicked out in 3 days. That would at least give us some more time to try and get packed and find somewhere to go.

What would be even better, and I would appreciate more than words can express, would be if we can raise enough (probably $2-3,000 for first & last and / or security deposit) to manage to find a place we'll be able to afford more going forward and can get into quickly since our landlord wants to evict. As mentioned, my mom's been sick, so an immediate move before we can even get her to the doctor to heal up, would be really difficult on her. And probably also on our dog with numerous health problems.

If you read this far, even if you can't donate, I thank you and ask that you please share, retweet, reblog, post on Instagram, print it on a T-shirt and go somewhere heavily populated, print it out and staple it to a neighbor's head, or anything else you can do to help get the word out. If you can donate, please do. You'll have the eternal gratitude of me and my family.

If you didn't read this far, here's a summary: Mom's sick, myself and the dog are in poor health, we're broke, rent money stolen, landlord's awful & wants to evict in 3 days, and we could really use money to not get kicked out or find another place, and if this campaign goes super well, to finally get caught up on some bills to take some pressure and stress off the family. Please donate or at least share as far and wide as you can.

Thank you for your time and attention,
