Alexander's Medical & Recovery Fund

Hello my name is Sharon,
I'm the mother of 4 children.
Krista (15) Samantha (11) Ethan (9) and Alexander (5)
Life has thrown us a lot of curve balls this year.

Alexander was diagnosed with a VSD Heart Murmur when he was born. His father and I were told it would close on its own, instead it grew extremely large.
On October 20th 2016, AJ had Open Heart Surgery to repair his VSD.

We found out in March 2016 that AJ has severe scoliosis.
I noticed at age 2 that AJ didn't walk right and I kept telling the doctor that his knees didn't look right, his knees were facing each other and his feet pointed out like a duck.
Every time I asked his doctor about it, I was told it was nothing, that as his body grew it would go away.
I finally was able to get him looked at by a different doctor after all my very loud complaining.
The new doctor went right to his back and looked at the set of his shoulders and hips, they were not lined up correctly.
The Dr then set him up right away for an X-ray and the results were heart breaking.

After AJ is completely healed from his heart surgery he will undergo an MRI to determine if he needs a back brace or rods surgically placed in his back.

AJ also shows signs of Autism and is on the list to be diagnosed with it.
The Autism Spectrum has many levels and many things to watch out for.
I would say.. AJ maybe has a mild case.
With that being said, if you know anything about Autism, AJ does not like to keep his clothes on, he takes them off the second he walks in the house.
I'm afraid that the back brace will not be an option.

This is the surgery Alexander had done.
He has a large hole in his heart.

Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD)

With all that's going on with AJ.
The insurance company only pays 60% of the costs so we are left with huge bills that are just crazy!!

I don't like asking for help, but in this case I have to swallow my pride and do what's in the best interest of my child!
Any contribution you could make would be helpful and greatly appreciated and used for upcoming medical bills.

Thank you!
