PrEP in PV

SETAC is committed to bringing PrEP to Puerto Vallarta as part of a major new international campaign to prevent HIV.

In order to do this we need:
-  zoned commercial space to provide offices for a doctor, and three more counselors.
- space for a lab tech so labs can be handled on site including new fourth generation testing for HIV, Hep B&C, chlamydia and liver and kidney studies
- office equipment and furnishings

PrEP is a daily preventative medicine so that high risk individuals can avoid contracting HIV.  The medicine's cost is very high so if SETAC can properly equip for the program it will be available in Vallarta at no charge.

SETAC está trabajando para traer PrEP a Puerto Vallarta como parte de una campaña a nivel internacional.
Para poder lograr esto debemos de cumplir con ciertos requisitos:
-Un espacio para tener un doctor y tres consejeros más.
-Area para toma de muestras para estudios de hígado y riñones.
-Pruebas rápidas de VIH de 4o Generación y Clamidia.
-Equipamiento de oficinas.
PrEP es una estrategia preventiva más reducir los casos de VIH , pero sobre todo para mantenerte negativo a ti y tus parejas.
