Preserve the Alberta Rose Theatre!

Help purchase the Alberta Rose Theatre building and preserve a historic and important piece of Portland's performing arts scene.  The Rose very suddenly has the opportunity to purchase the building to ensure a home for the arts FOREVER!  This is an incredible opportunity, but the down payment is a stretch for our budget.  We've partnered with Premier Community Bank,  but we need our community's support.  We currently have until January 15th , 2018 to secure the financing and raise the money for the down payment.  All donations to the Alberta Rose Theatre go directly towards the purchase of the building it currently operates in. 
      Located in the heart of the eclectic Alberta Arts District in Portland, Oregon, the Alberta Rose originally opened as a motion picture house in 1927 and showed films until it closed to the public in 1978. We brought it back to life in 2010 and produce hundreds of events every year. The theatre has 300 fixed seats and radiates the serene feeling of a Spanish-Colonial courtyard. The Alberta Rose is a mid-size, seated performing arts venue that fills an important role for the arts in our city.
