Preserving Prospect
The Historic Prospect Park renovation project. Moline Community Development Corporation, Moline Preservation Society and Moline Preservation Commission are raising money to help renovate the Grand Pavilion with a new coat of period color paint.
Other projects to the 127-year old park that City of Moline’s Capital Funding is sponsoring include new playground equipment, pavilion foundation stabilization, concrete work around the Pavilion including new stairways, new ADA restrooms, and a new fishing pier. The total cost for these projects is $450,000. MCDC and Moline Preservation are helping to make this “Summer of Prospect” a success.
We are asking the public's help with the painting portion of this project (at a cost of $50,000). The dollars you donate today will be applied to giving the pavilion a much-needed façade freshening while maintaining the historic look, refinishing the wood flooring and painting the new fishing pier.
