Project Avro Arrow RL25206

In simulation games, and in actual photos, the Avro Arrow has become an aircraft like no other in the history of Canadian Aviation.
"Arrow206",  was formed to change that dream and give it reality. That once in a life time chance to witness the powerful aircraft and hear the roar of the mighty engines as she is powered into an element she was designed for.

Although she was designed as a war machine, she never made it to fruition, and only a handful of people were able to have a hands-on to the aircraft and a few thousand more witnessed the flight of this iconic aircraft. With one Airforce Base, having that once in life-time chance of seeing one land on their home base in Trenton Ontario.
My company,"Arrow206", is designed for a single purpose, with a goal, to "Build & Support" an "Active Avro Arrow Program" and a "Real" Avro Arrow aircraft. When I speak of an Active Avro Arrow Program and a Real Avro Arrow, it is because, we are going to be working from "Original Blueprints" and that now is seen by the organization that will "Inspect & Certify RL206 for Build & Flight", as being an "Actual Avro Arrow" aircraft.  Our Goal is to build a "1:1 Full Scale, Fully Operational, (Non-Military), Supported Airshow Demonstrator and Static Display", Avro Arrow aircraft And that is the reason for this "GoFundMe".
We are not a Multi-million dollar corporation that could probably do this project. I'm a trucker by trade, and my team of Avro Arrow enthusiasts who also have job in and outside the aviation industry, has a passion of wanting to build this most iconic Canadian built jet All-Weather Fighter/Interceptor ever created.

"Project206", is the builder of this iconic aircraft. Avro Arrow RL25206, was the next generation "MK.2" and her engines were the more powerful Series ii Iroquois P.S13s.  These "Mk2" aircraft were to bring the Avro Arrow Program into a whole New History of Performance. Did you know the second generation Arrow was actually longer than the Mk1, because of the length of the Iroquois engines and power, they extended the length by about 5 feet and a tick.
In my opinion, had the Mk2's been allowed to fly, the Entire Avro Arrow Program, would have been thrust into a Game Changer position. In fact, as the program was ending, there was a few who actually wanted to fuel "RL206" and show what she could do, but the idea was rejected. This is where I believe the Avro Arrow story evolved into the legendary "One Getting Away" began.

"Avro Arrow RL25206",  never would fly, and in some thought of a machine having a life built inside, we cannot help but think of this bird looking out the hanger windows, seeing the skies in front, forever denied the ""Right of Flight" as she was intended.
But the Avro Arrow is full of Myths and Stories. that has now taken this Canadian built aircraft into Legendary Status. Which means, those dreams, takes this aircraft and places it in Our Minds, Our Hearts,  in Many Canadians and places this Legend Right into Our Very Souls of what "RL25206" could have been.

       ***That is until Now***

In Canadian Aviation history, perhaps the only exception was the Silver Dart, 50 years before the Avro Arrow, that brought so much attention to Our Aviation history.  "Our Idea, made from  Canadian Brains, Canadian Design & Canadian Craftmanship, we are So Good At, when given the chance. That we yearn, for that to come back one day.

We know that "Project206", is a Team effort. We also know that this Team isn't just us in "Arrow206/Project206", that this MUST, include ALL the  People of Our Great Nation, Canada. We know that we are not building this iconic aircraft, the "Avro Arrow RL25206", just for us, it is for ALL the people of Canada.
And this is where we need your Help.
The guesstimate cost of building this "Avro Arrow", from scratch, which also includes finding and procuring, such items as Blueprints from Museums, and as well as, asking a person or family in possession of the blueprint for their help.

The project will be in the area of $60,000,000 to $100,000,000 dollars and then a continuance of membership support for the ability to maintain a program to support the aircraft in certifiable condition, and for Fueling Housing and Insurances required to keep this Avro Arrow in the airshows and grounds capable of supporting the weight and the Landing/Takeoff of the Avro Arrow.

In Our Plan, if you are in possession of the "Original Blueprints" is for you to keep your property. "Arrow206" has a policy that we would only require to scan the items and for you to be present with us on the days we do the scanning of the prints.
As a gift, we will give you the Credit for your Help in the best way we can, by placing a plaque with your name or family who allowed us the opportunity to have the proper Blueprints required to build RL206, and to have your name and or family name on a permanent wall inside the Hanger(Museum) and in the belly of the aircraft.
In most cases, your help has allowed us to build this legendary aircraft, and we will give you a guaranteed ride (Time Slot Required and secured by Our Needs for airshows or static display requirements) but you will get your ride in the navigations section of the aircraft) (( We will be certifying the aircraft for a single passenger mode))

"Project206", is not a secret project. We have been around for a little over a year now. But we really did not allow the project the freedom of being seen, until we were secured our foundations for this project.  And we are working and developing ideas on how to proceed with building "RL25206", but we feel the time is now right, to bring this project to the people properly.

This GoFundMe, drive is Our start towards Our Goal of bringing back, this Amazing Canadian Aviation Achievement from the 1950s.  When the "Avro Arrow" is finally on the floor of our hanger in "North Bay, Ontario", in various stages of the build, we will be offering you the opportunity for you and your family to come up (In Your Time and way) to "North Bay, Ontario", and "Help Us" with the build. Right up to when it is all finished. even when that happens we will set up a Plan for "Maintenance Helper" where you can help to ready the "Avro Arrow" for flight and be sure she is "Shining Bright" for the "Airshow and Static Display" that she will be born-again to do.

When build and Certified to do, "RL206", will be able to land only at specific airports of 8,000-feet or more, Minimum runways. If we can do less say 6,000 footers safely, it will be considered and again certified to do so.
Sometimes it's not the landing that is a concern, and more  the takeoff that brings on a whole set of problems on their own.  We will fly in Supported Airshows and a Static Display, and this will be for you to come up to the show, and allow you the opportunity to See, Touch, Photograph all you want and fill your senses of this amazing Canadian Aircraft. Ever see that photograph of Test-Pilot Janusz Zurakowski standing in the open canopy of the Avro Arrow and having his picture taken. well this is very much a possibility for us and you.
With the Safety required and time to work out a plan, it is not out of the question for you to have the same type of picture, but with a safety stand around for protection. That cockpit is 2-stories high, so your safety is High on the Priority list.

So we really need your Help to make all this happen.

In recent times with this COVID-19, and with some people now out of work, our question about this project and this Aircraft was whether we should continue with this drive, or just shut it down until this all clears was on our minds. Your Safety and with Distancing a major concern, there are certain areas that we MUST look into, such as helping with the build.
We believe, that there will be a solution in affect, by the time we reach that point, where we begin with the build and for you to attend. So we are going to keep that option open.
After meetings and sitting up for all hours, pondering, worrying about the Canadian People and the World, and this pandemic with the deaths of so many people, and Our heartfelt Condolences to the loss of a Family Member(s), we want to Wish everyone a Safe New way of life for awhile and pray that life can be brought back into some sort of normality we once took for granted.

It was decided, that sometimes, WE need a break from the news, something to look forward to also.  So the decision was made to continue with the Development and Growth of "Project Avro Arrow RL25206-Rebirth of a Canadian Aviation Legend" with strict policies in place to ensure  Your Safety as well as Our Own.

We hope that you will be able to find the time and the ability to Help us with this project by "Donations" to the project.
You can join "Project206", on Facebook at " Friends Of Avro Arrow RL25206 " ( An Active Avro Arrow Program) that is free of charge and from your homes. We will keep you up to date on our progress of Merchandise we are presently working on. We have  a Membership program on the go, that I hope you may join in as well and can learn more about in "Friends Of Avro Arrow RL25206 (An Active Avro Arrow Program) on Facebook.

I know the Team is hoping and trying very hard to spark that fire, of Canadian Passion and Pride on a level, not seen in a very long time. So we hope you can help with a Donation.

To Everyone in Canada and the World, Please take care of Yourselves and your Families. Keep up the Social-Distancing and the need of Masks to bring this virus under-control and hopefully to an end.

Thank you and God Speed...
