Who: Protest Canada is a non-partisan, non-violent, grassroots movement that works for Canada and Canadians. We aim to remain and live up to our credo at all times, "Civil but clear, firm, factual and legal". The money raised will go to funding activities conducted by the organization which will include printing of posters, flyers, pamphlets, paying for servers, Not-for-Profit registration fees, permit fees for rallies and marches, travel, legal and other associated costs.
What: Concerned citizens nation-wide are taking this federal government to task over anti-democratic legislation, presently. Our goal is simple: Put the spotlight on anti-democratic legislation Bill C-51 and urge Canadians, as well as Opposition parties, to reject it.
When: On March 14, 2015, thousands of Canadians across the country rallied and marched in the streets to bring national attention to proposed Bill C-51. We can't afford to stop now if we value our democratic society and rights. Leafleting events are being held in various (determine and post) cities across Canada, March 21-22nd and March 28-29th, to further educate the public about the issue. Town hall meetings and information sessions regarding Bill C-51 are being hosted in various cities across Canada, also. Check (here?) for event details.

Why: Canada is in crisis under a federal Conservative government. Harper warned us in 2006 that, "you won't recognize Canada when I'm through with it". The threat to Canadian elections and democracy, core values, and international reputation is real.

How: Get involved! Educate yourself about Bill C-51 and learn why this proposed legislation is not in the best interests of Canadian democracy or public safety. You can leaflet and petition in solidarity with us, in your town or city for the next two weekends. Attend Town hall or information sessions about C-51, demand your MP vote against it and pressure all Liberal MP's to reverse their decision to support it. Check back regularly for more events.
