Providence College Women's Club Lax

The Providence College Women's Club Lacrosse team was founded in 2014 by two then Sophomores, Patti Hoban and Emily Entwistle at Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island. Our team competes in the New England Women’s Lacrosse League (NEWLL) as a member of the East Division. The team began with 20-25 girls, no coach and very little practice space in it's first season. Today our team is headed by Coach Mike Koperda and is comprised of 30+ girls on both travel and practice teams. In our inaugural season, the Spring of 2015, the team was awarded “Most Outstanding Athletic Association” at Providence College, and in just its second season, Spring of 2016, our team was named Division Champions of the East. As the progam grows and the talent of the girls increases our team is looking to compete with the top competition from the East Coast. The money that is donated would give us the ability to travel for games, tournaments and hopefully playoffs which, would enhance an evergrowing program here at Providence College. Donations would also be used to provide our team with new equipment and gear so that we can practice efficiently to maintain our growth. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and put towards a winning lacrosse program for a young and eager team!
