iLEAD Trip to Rebuild Puerto Rico
Donation protected
Backpacks full of hope is a group started by iLEAD students that allows students and their families to visit Puerto Rico or places in need and donate our time, hard work, and supplies.
Our first trip to Puerto Rico was on March 22nd, 2018. It lasted 8 days, and we planted over 400 trees, spent 12 hours building earthships, and donated tons of backpacks and dufflebags full of supplies to people in need.
We realized that many Puerto Ricans will be in need for a long time to come, so we have decided to return. Planning is well underway for our next trip, in which we will return to Puerto Rico over spring break of 2019 to help with similar efforts to last time (trees, shelters, and supplies).
Money donated to this page will go towards buying supplies for the people of Puerto Rico, group trip expenses, or will be used to purchase items while on the island to contribute to the local economy.
As we are a non-profit organization, donations are tax deductible. Our Tax ID # is 47-4269250
We would greatly appreciate any donations you are able to give us.
Thank you
