NEVER GIVE UP!
Hi, my name is Teaira Daniels! In 2009 I buried my daughter. She was nearly 2 years old. She had been diagnosed with pompes disease and I was her full time provider. After she passed it took me awhile to find my calling, but eventually I decided to pursue a career in cosmotology because it was something I loved to do my entire life. It also provided me with an opportunity to help others feel beautiful, just as I'd done for my beautiful daughter Amariyah.
I was doing well in cosmotology school, but strange symptoms that I had experienced prior to the start of school began to reoccur. Eventually, in September 2013 I went to hospital because I wasn't feeling well. I woke up 2 days later paralyzed from the chest down. I was in ICU for 6 weeks and doctors were unsure if I would survive and even if managemed to survive I might not ever walk again. Ultimately I was disagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder called neuromyelitis optica. After multiple surgeries and hours of grueling physical therapy I regained some mobility and returned to school - in my wheelchair! I finished my goal and graduated January 24, 2017. Never give up!
And now, with your help, my dream can be complete! The need is urgent. All donations are welcome and will go towards the purchase of my very own standing wheel chair.
