Welcome to the Cry for Help Cattery
Kittens, Kittens everywhere
Helpless bundles look up and stare
When no-one seems to care
Cry for help is always there
The Cry for Help Cattery is a voluntary organisation which helps unwanted and neglected kittens from birth to 12 weeks old. It was started in 1991. We are run by volunteers who give their time to nurture and care for these poor mistreated and abandoned kittens.
We need your help with vet’s bills and food and bedding, many of these kittens have horrible injuries which often require life saving veterinary surgery and rehabilitation.
When a kitten comes into the cry for help cattery, the person bringing them is told of the level of care their kitten needs, which often times the owner/finder is taken aback.
If I say that I have to bring this kitten to the vet for vaccinations which costs 20 euro for the first vaccine and 20 euro for the second vaccine, many donors simply refuse to pay towards this. They often say that they found the kitten on the side of the road and it’s not their kitten so why should they pay anything towards them, that they might as well bring the kitten back to where they found it, which of we won’t do, meaning I’m left in the position where I must find the vets fees myself.
Some of these poor angels come to us so sick we don’t know if they will survive, most do but many sadly do not because they so badly neglected. But you can see by the photos above that some come very neglected and with love and TLC they often make a full recovery and are housed in our recovery rooms as below until homed.
