Hello everyone!
I am raising funds to have my second novel published with Atmosphere Press in Austin, Texas. They chose my manuscript, due to its biting, gritty, and compelling plot. Nick Courtright is the executive editor and proprietor of Atmosphere Press. He is convinced my work is a great fit to his publishing house and is eager to get started. The manuscript is called, A PROMINENT ROLE.
The funds will be used to cover costs for overall novel design, editing, proofreading and final cut. I will be needing the funds within several months. To get an idea what the story is about, I have included a description about it:
A PROMINENT ROLE focuses on CALVIN FONTECCHIO from Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. After making a grave mistake in the past as a fourteen-year old teenager, CALVIN becomes committed to fix what he had caused. The best solution is to become a member of the New York Police Department. After raiding a notorious prostitution ring in the Bronx more than several years later, CALVIN is confronted with the past and the mistake that bears his name. It becomes a desperate fight for survival and a search for his true identity.
The story touches on New York City and the collisions between the mafia and the New York Police Department. The mafia and the police worked together to preserve their interests. New York City faced grave problems with crime. The police was underfunded and overwhelmed. Many members of law enforcement worked with organized crime syndicates to supplement their incomes. Corruption was the glue that kept them together. A PROMINENT ROLE features dynamics between them with great detail and places the reader where the action is.
My writing focuses on crime and suspense. I firmly believe A PROMINENT ROLE does an exceptional job in keeping the reader engaged. It contains a high-octane run to the climax, adventure-filled events and a stunning twist that shocks the readers. My work is loaded to the top with incredible clues to keep readers guessing from start to finish. It hosts a plethora of amazing characters with different cultural and professional backgrounds. CALVIN is determined to do anything for redemption. He can only do it with DR. PAMELA ALBANS - an
influential psychologist with powers of conviction and resolve. It has dangerous criminals with insatiable lust and feats of survival: CLARE CADDER overcomes significant problems to become a respected artworks appraiser. The manuscript has everything it needs to attract people who are interested in nail-biting suspense and crime thrillers.
My stay at Okanagan College and the University of British Columbia Okanagan refined my writing. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in History. I also received the Employee of the Year award in 2017 for my professionalism at the workplace. At the moment, I'm working on my fourth novel and have plans for more incredible stories.
