Seeing Beyond Disabilities

Established in 1957,YAI is a network of eight agencies offering people with intellectual and developmental disabilities a comprehensive range of services across the lifespan. YAI’s mission is to help others achieve the fullest life possible by creating new opportunities for living, loving and working.  Seeing beyond disability is not just a tagline but a symbol and substance of YAI ‘s ongoing transformation to meet the challenges of a changing world. Having a family member with a developmental disability can be challenging and overwhelming. This fundraising page is for one of many YAI programs; The Brooklyn Drop-off. YAI’s  Brooklyn Drop-off is more than just a program, its their Saturday night.   We provide recreation and socialization opportunities. We strongly believe that each individual is entitled to the same dignity, respect and opportunities as everyone else in society.
