R. J. E. GYM RENOVATION

THE RJE (Robinson, Jenkins & Ellerson) High School was officially closed in 1972 due to desegregation.  In 1977, the Concerned Citizens was organized and has utilized the facility ever since under a 99 years lease.  The Gym, which was built in 1961 is being used for youth & adults sports, community activities, and various annual events.  
The Bradford County School Board deed the entire facility over to the Concerned Citizens of Bradford County, Inc. in 2015.  The Gymnasium is in desperate need of repair beginning with the roof, an HVAC system, electrical upgrade, restoration on the original bleachers and female & male locker rooms, new gym floor, interior & exterior doors. 
Concerned Citizens this year applied for the Historical Grant and missed the funding by less than 5 point.   
These funds will be used initially for the roof repair, electrical upgrade  and installation of an HVAC system.
