Help Alberta Cannabis Activists

My name is Melissa Finlay and I am an advocate for medical cannabis as well as a patient who uses cannabis to help my medical conditions. I have been working with many advocates and activists to educate and help in the cannabis movement. Many of the activists in our Alberta Cannabis Community are living on limited incomes and cannot afford to attend events like the various cannabis cups across Canada , Dab Fest, and fundraising events held in other provinces. We are all hearing promises of legalization and here in Alberta we need to be heard and we need to be involved with our other province's cannabis issues to become a united front.
My friend Donna suggested I start a go fund me page to fundraise money for Alberta Cannabis activist to attend these events. This is also a way for anyone who supports cannabis activism in Alberta but doesn't want to be on the front lines to contribute to the cannabis movement. Our Alberta Activists have done fundraisers to raise money for MACROS defense fund and continue to educate and reach out to our politicians in our fight for patients rights.
There is a fundraising event in Duncan BC called Dab Fest Duex in support of the Cannabis Rights Coalition that we would like to attend. We would need flights, accommodation, and food expense for this trip. We would like to send as many people as possible so if we raise more than $1000 that would be great! But I figure with $1000 we should be able to send at least 2 people.
