Save Centre From Closing Down in Kabul

Assalaamu Alaykum,
Payam Ilahi is an Islamic Centre founded in 2009 under the management of Ustad Sami Leqa in order to deliver high standards of teachings in Quran (tajweed, tilawat, tarjuma and tafseer), Fiqh, Seerah and other basic studies of Islam.
Ustad had the vision to provide the community with better knowledge of deen as well as helping the poor, deprived families and children e.g. orphans, widows, young girls and women, who have no access to education.
Ustad also aimed to help children selling on the streets by giving them the opportunity to learn (deen, literacy, maths, etc) during their breaks and providing them with free lunch at the Centre every day.
The school has also helped the poor and orphans by taking care of their monthly expenses and creating clean (halal) jobs and opportunities for them at the Madrasa which would stop them from begging on streets or turning to sinful jobs.
The Centre has over 100 students aged from 6 to 60 and 15 staff. Most of the staff are the students who graduated from this Centre and are now working for the school.
By the grace of Allah, it has delivered the best through these years. Unfortunately, due to some changes in the security of Kabul, it has recently been facing financial hardship and the Centre is now at risk of getting shut down.
In order to help this school and students of Islam, we are aiming to raise £2000.
Whether it is through creating jobs and opportunities, teaching the Quran, providing free lunch or spreading knowledge of Islam, it is clear that this Madrasa is a vital part of the community.
Just as Ustad and his Centre have been there for those in need, it is our duty to give back and help the Centre in its time of need.
On the authority of Abu Hurairah (ra) that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ‘When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him’. (Muslim)
