Rally for Rich Sawyer

The friends and family of the Sawyer’s are asking for your support as they go through a very challenging time. Rich and Michelle (Grassel) Sawyer are both dedicated teachers who have served their communities for many years, teaching at Green Bay East, Green Bay West, Kaukauna, and most recently Seymour.  Rich is also a veteran of the US Army serving in Iraq from 2005-2006. They have 3 amazing children, Abigail, Elaina, and James. 

In August of 2016 Rich was diagnosed with stage 4 paraganglioma, a very rare form of cancer that forms around the adrenal glands.  The tumors have spread to Rich’s lungs, liver, and spine.  He has gone through radiation and chemotherapy, and faces more treatment to shrink the tumors enough to perform surgery and remove them.  The Sawyer’s are ready for a long fight and eventual win against this disease, but they need some support from the community to get them through.  Rich has selflessly served his country and his community so please consider a donation of any amount to help them win this battle.
