Rethink Your Drink, Ravenswood!
Tax deductible
Friends of Ravenswood School (FORS) is raising money to provide school and staff access to clean, healthy, drinking water. Your tax deductible donation will help offset the cost of the purchase and installation of (4) water bottle filling stations throughout Ravenswood Elementary School. The entire student population of over 500 students would directly benefit from this purchase with your help.
Installation of water bottle filling stations provides many benefits: abundant availability of safe drinking water inside the walls of more than a century-old building, healthier hydration to combat the child obesity epidemic and reduced plastic waste as an alternative to disposable bottles.
Ravenswood Elementary School is a Chicago Public School (CPS), providing high-quality, literacy-focused elementary education to students from Kindergarten through eighth grade. An estimated forty-one percent (41%) of the student population qualifies for free or reduced-price lunches. With a diverse socioeconomic student body, Ravenswood School relies heavily on the generosity and kindness of community members and non-community members alike to achieve seemingly unachievable improvements to the school.
Our goal is to collect the funds needed by July 2018.
Friends of Ravenswood School is recognized as a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation by the Internal Revenue Services. Donations to FORS are tax deductible as allowed by law. Donations that include the donor’s name and address will be acknowledged with tax-appropriate documentation.
