Help for the Peter Hacking Family
Donation protected
A donation page for the surviving family of Capt. Peter Hacking, Nevada VFD.
On March 31st, 2016, tragedy struck on HWY 78 in Wylie, Texas - a local volunteer firefighter, 36-year-old Peter Hacking, and two of his children, 4 years and 22-months, were struck by an oncoming vehicle that veered into their lane; the father and two children were killed immediately upon impact.
Peter is survived by his wife, a teacher for Lavon, who must be experiencing emotions that many of us can't even imagine. The last concern that she needs to have at this time is how and when the financial obligations that will follow will get paid.
I am not related to, or even friends with the Hacking family - but when I heard of this accident, it hit very close to home, and I decided that I had to rally as much support as I possibly could.
My father-in-law is the Captain of the Wylie Fire Department, and being that Peter was a firefighter, the local fire departments are taking over much of the funeral arrangements and assisting the family as much as they can; but as a community I feel very confident that we can attribute financial assistance so that this wife and mother is able to take as much time as she needs to grieve and work towards finding her happiness again after such a terrible loss.
Please donate ANYTHING that you can - pennies can add up to millions if we all work together, and I can assure you all that every single cent will be given DIRECTLY to Mrs. Hacking through the local fire departments, with any and everything being so greatly appreciated.
