Melissa MacLean
Donation protected
Mar 21, 2015 Melissa MacLean (known by some as Pigglett) was run over and injured by a drunk driver in a vehicle/pedestrian incident. Melissa is a single working mother of a bright young boy whom she works tirelessly to provide for. Injuries sustained in the incident resulted in an extended hospital stay and an estimated 12 months of additional recuperation time. Melissa and her son stay optimistic and positive about working through this along with the support of their close knit family.
However; the troubles have recently compounded when the family discovered the driver of the vehicle was not only driving under the influence but also with no insurance, leaving this mother son combo with no source of income and bills threatening to stack up in front of them.
Melissa works for a small privately owned company with no benefit coverage therefore; we are now reaching out to the community for help of any kind. Monetary donations of any amount are greatly appreciated.
Please join us for a fundraising auction being held May 2, 2015 at the Parkside in Highfield Park, Dartmouth NS. Auction begins at 2:30pm. For auction donations please contact Melissa’s sister, Amanda at [email redacted]
Stay tuned for updates and notices on other fundraising efforts.
