Launching French Campus Ministry

Donation protected
"Since coming to know you and your wife, at night, when I'm on the phone talking with my family back home, I've been trying to convince them that Christians are not the enemy. There are good people who are Christians. They do not understand this, but I want them to. They simply have never met a Christian." - Adam*, from Asia

This is a conversation I (Bryan) had with a friend of mine who was an international student at Georgia State.  My wife, Carly, and I have spent the past 7 years in United States working with university students and helping with an urban church plant in Atlanta. While we've enjoyed the opportunities we've had to share Jesus here, especially with international students from countries where Jesus is unknown, we've come to realize the great need for the gospel in other parts of the world. Conversations like this one with Ahmed remind us that there are billions of people in other parts of the world who do not personally know a single Christian, let alone Christ.

We want to help change that.

In partnership with our church and other organizations, in August we'll be moving our family to France indefinitely.  Unknown to most people, France is the least reached country of Europe in terms of gospel-presence. You are 33x more likely to meet a Christian in the US than you are in France. And while there are French churches that are small and growing, there are very few campus ministries.

Our ministry in France, will be much like our ministry here in the US: life-on-life discipleship, local events, Bible studies, and helping a new Paris church with organizing, teaching, and preaching. A majority of our time will be dedicated to reaching both French students and international students on campus in Paris. We want students, during one of the most formative times in their life, to encounter and engage with the truth claims of Jesus for the first time ever.

We believe it is an injustice for people to live in and travel to a country with freedom of religion and never hear the gospel. Would you help us right this?

With your help and partnership, we want to see students made whole and sent out into their various industries and spheres of influence across the world to share the good news that has changed them.

Here's how you can help:

Moving to France for ministry and learning French is an expensive endeavor for a family.  We are asking people to generously partner with us for these out-going costs we have listed below. These have been listed by our sending agency.

Pre-field training.....................$1,665
Travel (one-way).......................$3000
Lang. aquisition course........$2,400
Language school...................$30,000
Shipping & set-up costs.....$15,000
Vehicle.......................................$10,000
+ GoFundMe fees (8%)........$5,000

One-time gifts to this go-fund-me will help us pay for these expenses and get started over there.

On top of these out-going expenses, we will also have on-going living and minsitry expenses. We have a number of people who have partnered with us on a montly basis to provide for these needs, enabling us to give ourselves fully to campus ministry and church planting in a place where the church is greatly under-resourced in terms of ministers.

If you'd like to become a monthly partner and continue to help us reach France, or you'd like to recieve our regular newsletter update, you can contact us on here via the email link next to my name in the profile.

Thanks for reading and prayerfully considering joining us in this work.
