Rebuild Montford Bus Stop

Hello!  I've lived in Montford for a decade, and was thrilled when our two unique bus stops -- unique because they shared our neighborhood's history -- were installed in 2017.  They added so much to the community.  Then I was so disappointed when a drunk driver destroyed one of them last May, and even more so when Asheville decided not to contribute to rebuilding it, and it looked like it was gone forever.  After speaking with many neighbors, I discovered I was not alone, that there was much sadness over the loss.

I found out that Asheville okayed the rebuilding of the bus stop if we could find a way to pay for it, and that those who designed, built, and installed the bus stop were willing to do it again.  The Montford Neighborhood Association has given its support (and will receive the funds collected).
