Life After a Suicide Attempt

Donation protected
My husband has been going through a rough time these last few years. I didn't know it at the time, but he took a job to save me from having to move to unfamiliar place having a hellish daily commute. It was an incredibly selfless gesture and it breaks my heart to see him punished for it.

He was already dealing with anxiety and undiagnosed depression, when in his lowest moment he tried to kill himself. I'm the one that found him and thank God he survived.
But because of the stigma that surrounds mental health problems in his profession, he lost his job.

I have a decent job, but after 18 months of trying to pay bills for two people on one salary we're drowning. I've used all of my savings, withdrawn the max from both of our retirements, borrowed money from an amazing friend, and work as much overtime as possible.

And things were finally looking up. My husband finally has 2 different job offers, but they're all in the federal government and take months of processing. Now we're terrified that Trump will enact a hiring freeze as soon as he takes office, and we'll lose our chance to get back on our feet.

The stress of this financial situation is taking its toll on both of us.
Please know that any kindness you can pass our way will be ease his mind and burden and be a true Christmas miracle.
