Reforestation El Salvador 2016
Donation protected
The preservation of ecosystems, natural forests and green places is critically important to the survival of us all—people, plants, and animals alike. In 2005, the volcanic eruption in El Salvador destroyed over 3,400 acres of forest and crops, devastating the community of Lake Coatepeque.
For the past 10 years, New Acropolis El Salvador has been laboring to reforest the area to prevent the erosion of soils and support the local community, planting over 10,000 trees. Last year, 3 volunteers from Acropolis Boston joined the reforestation effort “Two Days with the Earth” with the intention of developing a transformative international volunteer experience for young people in the United States.
This year, our goal is expand this volunteer effort to 6 participants in the annual reforestation occurring July 28-August 1. In order to meet our goal, we are asking for sponsorships from local businesses and individuals such as yourself to raise $900 per participant, or $5,400 total.
We hope that we can count on you to help support our cause.
Thank You!!!
